How about three women in Victorian dresses in 1888 who machete their way through Terra Incognita to brave dangerous storms, fields of ice, treacherous mountains and a most bizarre assortment of creatures and artifacts. Periodically, they receive mysterious transmissions from an unknown future – “cool whip!” “beep! College bowl for 20” – and end up ringing the gas station bell at Woody’s Esso in 1955 America. Fanny, a Victorian woman through and through, declares, “I have seen the future, and it is slang!” And they arrive.
