Growing up can be hard, but 'don't worry 'bout a thing, man!'
Ziggy wants to get out and enjoy his beautiful island in the sun, but the fear of evil spirits, tropical storms, and bandits keep him locked inside. With the help of a few feathered friends, he learns to face his fears and is reminded in soothing six-part harmony that 'every little is thing gonna be alright!'
A jammin' musical, featuring the timeless music and lyrics of Bob Marley and based on the children's book by his daughter Cedella, Bob Marley's Three Little Birds shares the legendary artist's message of peace and love with a new generation of songbirds.
ABOUT THE REGGAE LEGEND
“Don't gain the world and lose your soul, wisdom is better than silver or gold.”
Born as Robert Nesta Marley on February 6, 1945, Bob Marley is known as an international cultural icon through his signature style and Jamaican music roots. He is widely celebrated for his revolutionary influence in the reggae music genre and political tolerance. In his early career, he worked with his childhood friend Neville “Bunny Wailer” Livingston and then later Peter “Tosh” Macintosh to create the former famously known band, Bob Marley and the Wailers. Including celebrated songs such as “One Love” and “Get Up Stand Up”, Marley wrote and performed “Three Little Birds” with The Wailers for their ninth studio album Exodus. His musical influence continues on through his children and grandchildren, many of whom have also pursued careers in music such as his first-born child, Cedella, who wrote the children's book Three Little Birds and later aided in the creation of the book's musical. Since his passing in 1981, he was awarded Jamaica’s third highest honor, the Order of Merit, for his lifetime contribution to the country’s culture. His legacy continues to live on through his family and nations all around the world as they celebrate attribution and influence of his music.
